Your Privacy Choices

This page is a plain-language summary of the controls you have over your information at Therr, and how to use them. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell or share your personal information

Therr does not sell your personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising (targeted advertising), as those terms are defined under California and other US state privacy laws. We have not done either in the preceding 12 months. This includes precise geolocation and every other category of sensitive personal information, and it includes the information of users we know to be under 16.

Because we do not sell or share, there is no opt-out for you to submit. We nonetheless honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal by disabling non-essential analytics cookies for that browser automatically.

Controls you can use right now

On the website

• Cookies. Use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page to accept or reject analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
• Newsletter. Unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link at the bottom of the message, or at therr.com/emails/preferences.

In the app

• Location. Grant or revoke location permission in your device settings. Background location is off unless you turn it on, and turning it off leaves the rest of the app working.
• Contacts. Contact access is optional and only used when you choose to invite friends. Revoke it in your device settings; ask us to delete already-uploaded contacts at info@therr.com.
• Camera and photos. Revoke in device settings at any time.
• Notifications. Turn categories on or off in Settings → Notifications, including proximity notifications.
• Content visibility. Choose who can see what you post in Settings → Privacy.
• Leaderboards. Opt out in Settings.
• Delete your account. Settings → Account → Delete account, or at therr.com/delete-account.

Rights you can exercise by contacting us

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, to limit our use of sensitive personal information, to opt out of sale, sharing, or profiling (none of which we do), and to appeal a decision we make about your request.

To submit a request: email info@therr.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. Tell us which right you want to exercise and include the email address or phone number on your Therr account so we can verify it is you.

Timing. We respond within 45 days, and may extend once by another 45 days if the request is complex — we will tell you if we need the extra time. GDPR requests are answered within one month, extendable by two months for complex requests.

Cost. Free. We will never charge you or reduce your service for exercising a privacy right.

Authorized agents. Someone may submit a request for you. We will ask them for written proof of your permission and may ask you to confirm it directly.

If you are not satisfied

Reply to our response, or email info@therr.com with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line. Someone who was not involved in the original decision will review it. If we still deny your request, you may contact your state Attorney General, your data protection authority in the EEA or UK, or the Commission d'accès à l'information in Québec.
